My Dream Came True

Ever since I was a little girl I never liked having my last name at the end of the alphabet. With every guy I met and actor I had a crush on I always looked at their last named and tried it with mine and considered whether it would put me in the front of the alphabet.

Well, guess what...tonight it finally happened. We went to a church members meeting and went to sign in. And guess who's name was first on the list? MINE!!!!!! Finally it happened. I was so excited I had to take a picture. OK so simple things make me happy. =-)

Here is a picture of the wonderful list! Oh and yes I'm actually on there twice. I've always been partial to Mandi, but in this case, I love AMANDA ALLEN!!!!!!

Portland Blazers vs. Memphis Grizzlies

Saturday night was Blazer Night and they won. My friend Kim and I had a fun girls night as we went to dinner and then to the game. Afterwards we stayed and watched Jay do his show, 5th Quarter, in one of the restaurants at the Rose Garden. Of course Jay was working, but we were sitting in his section and had fun cheering for him as he walked by and such. Here are a few pictures of our evening.
This is one of Jay's biggest fans. He he Just Kidding, its our friend Dave.

Here is where Jay sits during the games. You can see Brian Wheeler, the voice of Blazers, to Jay's left.

Date Night

Friday night Jay and I had a fun date night. We went to the Portland Center Stage to see The Importance of Being Earnest. If you have never heard of it, it's a silly play that takes place in the Victorian area. So the language and the costumes were very fun. Afterwards we wanted something sweet, so we made a Cold Stone run. And then to top off the night we got pulled over for going through a "do not turn on red". OOPS!!! But the cop was nice and let us go with a warning. So all of that made for a fun and adventurous evening.

Mom and Dad Small come for a visit

It's been spring break for me this past week and let me just say the break was wonderful!

The highlight of the week was Tues - Thursday when Mom and Dad Small and Sherilyn, Jay's younger sister, came for a visit. Sherilyn lives in North Carolina with her husband Wes. So it was great to catch up with her.

Their visit included good chats, silly puns, lots of shopping, visiting bookstores from Portland to Oregon City and of course eating out. We had a wonderful time but of course it was much too short.

Boersma's visit to Tualatin

On Feb. 19th, Jay's sister and her family came down to Portland for the Thomas The Train show and to visit Uncle Jay and Aunt Mandi. We all had a lot of fun. Here are a few pictures from their visit.

Uncle Jay bought Alyssa and Annika, wooden horses to paint.

Here is Alyssa's pretty horse.

Valentines in CA

OK, so we are still getting use to the new world of Blogging. So here is an update on a few of our recent adventures.

For our first Valentines Day, we flew to CA to surprise my family and meet our new nephew, Charlie David Vidito. Unfortunately, I got sick right before we left and Jay got sick when we got there. So that was a bummer. Besides that, we had a wonderful time.

Here are a few pictures from our trip.
Our 1st Valentines Day's as husband and wife. Aren't we cute! =-)
My sister and I made a yummy valentines dinner for our family. This is my mom and dad, my brother James and his son Will.

Uncle Jay and Will had fun playing car...in a box. =-)

Mom and dad were all dressed up for their church Valentines party. I got to take their picture in front of the mantel before their date, as they used to do to me. I even gave dad "the talk"..."drive like I'm sitting in the back seat." Yes that is what he used to say to my dates. =-) Thanks dad!

Uncle Jay and baby Charlie and my mom...right after Jay surprised everyone.

Charlie David Vidito. He's still not quite sure what he thinks about the camera.
