Our First Anniversary!

Wow, it's so hard to believe that today we are celebrating one year from when we said "I will". God has been so good to us. It's been a great year and I'm so excited to be on this journey with my sweet husband. I love you Jay! =-) OK, I'll stop being mooshy.

In honor of our first year I was trying to upload a little video of our wedding that a friend made for me for Christmas. Unfortunately, it wont upload. So if you want to see it, here is where you need to go. http://vimeo.com/2607392, the pass word is Vidito. She did this for me as a gift and it's great! It's about 17 min.

Here are a few fun pictures from our special day.
OK this is from our rehearsal, but I couldn't resist. It's too funny. Is this the perfect picture of who we are, or what? Great shot, Katie!

New Day Counseling

Well it's official. I now have an office space and business registered in my name!!!! I'm still working on all of the crazy paper work and developing my website, but it's coming. I also have a friend who is going to sublease the office with me. We received the keys yesterday and it was such a wonderful and exciting meeting. It is seriously better than anything we could have imagined.

Afterwords, Jay and I went to dinner with she and her husband. We both feel really good about this working relationship. Again, God totally ordained this.

So please just keep in your prayers that I can everything done quickly and get my cards out there. I have a list of people who are waiting for my information to pass along. Oh and of course that He brings the clients.

Here is a picture of my office building.

Trip To Bellingham

During the week of July 4th, Jay took some time off. It was heaven!!! We enjoyed a low key week including sleeping in, going to a massage, putting a little path in the backyard, and heading up to Bellingham for the weekend. When we were in Bellingham we stayed with our dear friend Jennifer. She is always a great hostess and I might add great cook!!!! =-). One of the highlights of our trip was a Birthday picnic with the family. Jay and Alyssa's birthdays are on July 16th, so we celebrated them together. Annette, Jay's sister did a great job of organizing the picnic at Whatcom Falls Park.

Then on the 4th of July we went to the annual family picnic, for Jay's mom's side of the family. Later that night, after a yummy BBQ at Jennifer's, Katie and Scott went with us to Bellingham Bay to see the fireworks. Where we were able to hook up with Jay's brother and his fiance`, Matt and Emily. All in all it was a fabulous weekend, other than my left over wedding sparklers not working. I was so bummed. =-)

Here are a few pictures from our family birthday picnic. Of course the nieces were the subject of most of my images. Enjoy.

Summer Night

The last few days have been just beautiful here in Tualatin. And our yard has been so enjoyable. The flowers have been blooming and we've added a few fun things to our yard. Enjoy some of the fun pictures from a beautiful summer evening.

The little lights in the background are these really cool humming bird and butterfly lights that change colors. They are pretty cool.

Lincoln City Weekend

Well, I guess I'm a little behind, but I wanted to tell you about our fun weekend in Lincoln City. On June, 19th, Jay and the other guys from his afternoon show, Wheels at Work, were doing their show from the Chinook Winds Casino in Lincoln City. So we decided to both go, and make a little vacation out of it. It was a blast and just what we needed to start to get into the vacation mode. Here is Jay, Brian Wheeler and Kenny Vance doing their show.

While the guys did their show, I went driving around town enjoying the scenery, oh and I might have stopped and gotten a pedicure. =-) The only bummer is the weather. I came with flip flops and T-shirts and the first day it was cold and rainy. I keep forgetting that the OR coast is not like LA beaches. Here are a few pictures I took during my drive.

Later that night, we had fun enjoying some of the perks of doing their show at a casino. We were treated to a really nice steak dinner in one of the casino's restaurants while overlooking the ocean. Then we were able to attend their featured concert which was Billy Ray Cyrus. Now if you don't know who this guy is, he is the dad of Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana, and a big name country star from the 90's. He is best known for his hit song, Achy Breaky Heart. I must admit he was a little cheesy, but it was fun to see. Especially when we didn't have to pay for it. =-) Here is a little clip of him singing Achy Breaky...

Here are a few other pictures from our fun evening....

The next day we had some fun driving around town visiting the beach and this really cool year round Christmas store. Then we headed home stopping in little towns, and visiting berry stands. It was a great and relaxing trip. Here are a few more pictures from our trip.

Rose Cup Races

Last Sunday, June 14th we had a fun experience. We went to the Rose Cup Races at Portland International Raceway, with our friends the Wilson's and one of their granddaughters, Ella. I had never been to a car race before and had no idea what to expect. But it was fun and definitely loud!!!! For me, what made the race fun was that a man in our church, Doug Russell, was racing that day. He was car #84. So it was fun to watch for him, as he would pass. After the race we were able to meet up with Doug and his wife and see the car. Yes I got to sit in the car. Too funny! I had no idea that there was only one seat in the car. Kinda weird. As I sat there, I tried to imagine what it would be like to be in the race. I must say my heart started pounding just thinking about!!! But it was fun! All in all the races were a blast and I would go again. However, word to the wise...NEVER wear heals to a race!!! It's no fun to walk around in heals on the uneven ground, no one else is wearing heals, and it sure doesn't look graceful when you are getting in and out of a race car. =-)

Here is a video from the race. See if you can find car 84 in the video.

Here are some pictures from our day.
